This is a very unusual program. I guess it would be called a mini-documentary. It follows two or three funeral directors through their days, what they go through retrieving the bodies of the deceased, talking to and dealing with the surviving family members who can sometimes be difficult. The part of this program that is most unusual is that the viewer sees so much of what happens in the back rooms getting the bodies ready for viewing. You see them getting laid in the casket, people doing the hair and makeup and talking about how they are doing it, there is not a great deal of shielding the viewer or the deceased either. It's all done in good taste but I don't think I ever expected to see dead people being set into caskets or being made up. I suppose some might find this disturbing so be aware there is significant time spent on that. All in all it's actually a pretty interesting mini-documentary; just be aware it might not be something you'd care to have the kids watch.
